Ins2My wife is an alien.  Although sometimes she acts "other-worldly" she’s originally from South Africa, which, last I checked, is just on the other side of the globe, not the Solar System.  All that to say, it’s taken us 6 years to get to where we are this morning.  Really more than that if you count all the time and money that she put towards it before we got married.  This morning we head to the beloved INS office in Atlanta for my woman to take her citizenship test and interview.

It has taken this long and lots of freakin’ money, but she’ll now be able to say the Pledge of Allegiance with conviction.  Speakin of which, yesterday she was learning the "Star Spangled Banner".  Ok right now, recite it word for word.  Do you get stuck?  Are all the words correct?  You can check here .  It was pretty funny as we were walkin’ down our favorite dirt road taking Barley for a walk we were singing the Star Spangled Banner at the top of our lungs.  It was hilarious cause Snee, I’ll use that to refer to my woman, was filling in words she didn’t know with whatever sounded right and it was a catastrophe.  We finally got her straight and she can now sing the Star Spangled Banner complete with the final tag line…"Play Ball!".

Wish us luck!  I’ll fill you in this evening.  When I say "you" I pretty much mean the one other person that’s reading this blog right now.  :)
