A break in the shell…

Hello world.  Well this is my first foray into blogdom.  My friends made me do it, at least my tech savvy, mostly have Macs, rag on me and my PC friends.  There’s something about all that that sounds oxymoron-ish, but I can’t tell what’s throwing it.  I hope they come and visit my site, you’ll find links to theirs on the side over there.  I check theirs out because they lead interesting lives, I think anyway.  My closest friends have kids, which is darn good material for a blog.  I mean, who can pass up seeing cute pics of kids and the funny things they do.  Well you won’t get that here, so get over it.

What you’ll get here is a blend of music  (I play in a few bands and provide audio production work on the side), pics of cool places (my wife and I like to travel and be outdoors), some prose and poetry and the list goes on.  Some of these categories will inevitably let you learn a little bit about me and be rather introspective, others will be bizarre, not unlike all the other blogs that you sift through in a day’s time.  So, I’m not sure how you came by this page, but thanks for stopping by.  I’ll try to make it worth your while.  It is just getting started so there will be some empty spots until I get it filled.  Keep an eye out.

This blog comes at an interesting time in my life.  I’m 31 years old, I am a commercial lender for a fairly large bank in Georgia, with plenty of perks, a great company and a great group of folks.  I really enjoy it, but it’s completely opposite from my personality.  I’m a musician, I’m probably borderline ADD or at least used to be.  I was an absolute nut through all of my school years, and now I’m a banker.  I go to work at 8:30 and get my coffee and try to focus on basically doing accounting homework for the day.  Sounds fun I know, but really it is pretty challenging and when you get everything structured and approved, you feel like you kind of won this little battle.  That’s good for me.

So that’s what I do during the day…to make money…so I can play.  What I do to play will have to wait til my next post.  I’ll definitely try to keep this thing rockin’ along so come back when you get a chance.  Peace love and jabulani.
