Microsoft Takes Email Design Back Five Years
And the heap of reasons to make the Mac switch continues to grow. Oh hold on you quivering heap, soon…yes…very soon…I will be making the switch and will not look back unless Apple starts this same type of stupidity. I mean, I don’t design graphics intensive emails or anything, but who in their right mind would think this is a good thing. Nice job Redmond, keep up the good work. Sheesh.

As somebody who writes newsletters for various companies that need to be be emailed in HTML/CSS, I actually cried when I read this yesterday.
Since most people are using Outlook, this is DEVASTATING for designers.
Spammers don’t bother to make pretty emails… it’s the rest of us who are going to suffer (once again) for Microsoft’s idiocy.
I tried writing about this at my blog, but kept ending up with a paragraph of obscenities and had to stop.

Dave, I think you could have really done this story justice though. Well, maybe just change the words on your Flamethrower post. Instead of curing your PC viruses, how about just curing you from the virus of Winblows?
