Bloggin Client
I’m thinking about moving to a desktop blogging client to manage my blog posts, versus going to the Typepad website. What prompted this is that I can’t get to the Typepad website here in the hospital. I have to use the pretty cool services of WriteToMyBlog. Which is basically a web-based blogging client, but has a few issues sometimes…like not letting me put links in this post for some reason.
I was thinking about using Ecto, it seems to get good reviews. Anybody using a desktop blogging client? Are you scheduling your posts?
I’ve been using ecto forever… but it hasn’t been updated much. The developer is working on a new version, but it’s been delayed many times and nobody knows when he’ll get a chance to release it.
A good alternative to try is MarsEdit, which I like very much…

I used ecto for a while and was happy with it. MarsEdit seems to be the mac standard. For what I do, I’m better off with the web interface, but you won’t go wrong with either one.
I think Dave2 probably has it right. Ecto is nice, but ME will probably provide a better user experience with much better support. I’m pretty sure ME has a free trial, so you can decide for yourself.
