My shipment came in?

I guess they finally got that “special” order in. I took this photo in Newnan, so if you’re in need, you know where to get that new recliner for your date.

Game Night

January 6th, 2008 Jonathan Payne 2 comments

Gone are the days of game night automatically meaning “Poker Night”. About once or twice a year my buddy Eric and I get together with several other guys in Atlanta for game night. And when I say game night I mean we all bring our computers, hook up to the same network and play first person shooter (FPS) games until the wee hours of the morning. If you’re not familiar with this, basically put, everybody’s playing the same game where you can see everyone else and you’re split up into teams.

A couple of our faves are CounterStrike:Source and Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. There’s nothing quite like some shoot-em-ups to get you going.

Eric and I used priceline to find a stupid cheap room in Buckhead and we crashed about 2am. Hit Waffle House and the Apple Store in the morning and headed on back. All in all an awesome night fraggin’ with some friends.

Random

Sorry for the random post, but I’ve really started using StumbleUpon and I "stumbled upon" this video.  I must admit that I like electronic music, hard to believe I know.  I’ve also developed some decent beat-box skills over the course of my life.  However, this guy takes the cake, literally.

My afternoon Walk

August 15th, 2006 Jonathan Payne 2 comments

So a typical day coming home from work is like this…head out of the office about 5:15 and hop in the car for the 30 min. commute.  It’s a nice commute actually, no traffic to speak of and I hit the highway within 5 miles and I’m gone.  Dial the iPod to the group du jour and I’m off.  I get home right about the same time as my wife and we chill for a bit, then get ready to take our dog Barley for a walk.  We live out in the country on 5 acres in the woods and absolutely love it.  About 100 yards down our road is a dirt road called Bugg Road.  This was named after Mr. Bugg who lives about 1/2 mile down the road and was born in the house he still lives in.  He’s about 88 or so.  That’s our dirt road.  We walk a mile down and a mile back, just chatting about the day or sometimes just walkin.  It’s such a nice release.  It’s beautiful in the afternoon.  Still a touch warm at 7:30pm in Jawja, but not bad.  Here are some pics from our walk the other night.  The cows are such a temptation for Barley.  He controls himself now though, after chasing them around a few times in his past.  I think when I get my Mac I’m gonna do a full length stop-motion video of a whole walk.  I think that would be cool.  So, until then…enjoy!
