That's what I've been since November 5th. Here's the scoop…my dad's game
company, Zelosport , has been testing out a kiosk in the local mall. It has
worked extremely well. All the partners are covering the hours as much as
possible which means lots of overtime. I work 8 hours at my regular job, then
go work another 4 at the mall, at least 3 days during the week. Then I'll work
Saturday or Sunday, or both. Now that's just nuts. All work and no play makes
Jack a tired puppy who doesn't update his blog that much.
Well, I'm trying WriteToMyBlog to make posts from work. I couldn't get
Writely, read: Google Docs, to correctly post a hyperlink.
On a side note, I've got some new recording equipment which will be here
tomorrow. I've got a song that I need to record and I thought about posting the
progress so you guys could see and hear the work in process.
Now, back to the grind!
Well, we got back home last Thursday and I’ve been swamped like a badger since then. I did put together this pretty cool slideshow of pics and video of our vacation that I’d like to post. However, YouTube puts limits on the size and length. It’s 15 minutes long, but worth it. I’ll see if I can post it at Google Video. Does anyone else have any ideas? I’d really like everyone to get a chance to see it. Back in a few….
Oh Yeah, video should be working now.
Yes I’m still alive. No my computer’s not busted. For some reason I have not had anything that I have felt blog-worthy about in a couple weeks. There are things going on…like, I got to play with the band at the new church for a combined service last Sunday and it rocked. The musicians in the new band are pretty phenomenal. A sax player in particular, he and I trade solos. We did David Crowder’s rendition of Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee and freakin’ rocked the house. So there’s something that’s happened.
Then last weekend I went up to visit my buddy Eric and to have "Game Night". Game night is where a bunch of guys get together, mostly Eric’s friends from his previous employer and we play multiplayer computer games. I know you think that sounds like loads of fun, but it really is. We split up into teams and everybody’s in the same room and you can see the rest of your "team" as you’re playing through the game. We order pizza and get all hopped up on Cherry Coke and play a shoot-em-up game till about 3:00am. Loads of fun I tell you. Yes I’m an uber-geek.

The only thing worth mentioning right now is John Mayer’s new album "Continuum". I picked up this album the other day and have really enjoyed it. I’ve really liked all of his stuff that he’s put out so far. Being a guitar player I find his music to be a fairly fresh approach to playing and his song content is clever. I have to say I go back and forth between being jealous of Mr. Mayer and just enjoying the music. Yeah I know, ain’t that stupid, but hey…with a few different choices in life, it might not be so far from where I’d be. I’d like to dream anyway. Maybe he’d be jealous of me…a beautiful wife who loves me, a great house, great family and friends. Yeah, maybe that’s it, he’d be jealous of me. Wait…didn’t he just start dating Jessica Simpson? Ok, maybe not so jealous of me.
That’s my mood. I haven’t felt like blogging. This week has just kind of sucked at work. Things got political over some stupid stuff. Nothing bad for me, but it just was frustrating.
Not to mention that Sunette and I have been going through a trying issue for a while now. It has nothing to do with arguing or anything about our relationship. It’s definitely got me questioning "why has it got to be like this?". Don’t you love those situations where it’s completely out of your hands and you can see no good reason for something being the way it is. It seems like it could only hinder us and hurt us, and God has the power to change it. So again I ask, "why has it got to be like this"? That’s all I can give you. So to say the least I haven’t cared much about my blog. Sorry, I’m sure I’ll pick up again.
